Overview
The Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies is a self-sustaining initiative at the University of Washington. As such, we draw on a combination of public and private capital to support our teaching, research and service activities. Since its inception, the center has raised more than $3 million from a broad range of individual
and corporate donors.
Through a combination of endowed gifts, operating sponsorships, and
UW support, we have made remarkable progress in realizing our initial vision of developing an
interdisciplinary master’s degree-granting real estate program.
Opportunities to Participate
There are two major opportunities to provide financial support for our initiatives: our Capital Campaign which focuses on endowment funding, and our Membership Program which focuses on operating support. There are several objectives behind our private funding program including:
- Obtain adequate financial support to help fulfill our mission,
- Create an effective industry linkage that helps us stay in contact with industry issues,
- Provide a knowledge base that can be tapped on to help direct resources and projects,
- Create a network of potential employers who can help with student recruitment, internships and job placement, and
- Create greater visibility and enhance the contribution we can make to the industry.
Membership Program
Our Membership Program has been established to provide annual operating funds to support our research and service activities, and to supplement our teaching resources. Click on this link to learn more about our Membership Program or to find out how you can join us.
