Research
The Center sponsors a range of research activities focused on topics with broad applicability to the increasingly diverse and sophisticated real estate industry. Its faculty of scholars come from within the College as well as from outside the immediate University community. A key objective of the research activities of the Center is to connect best practices in the industry with what is happening in the classroom so students gain a balance of theoretical and practical understanding of real estate topics. This combination of the best theoretical and practical knowledge is the hallmark of Center Programs. From Barriers to Solutions and Best Practices: Urban Centers & TOD in WA (pdf) This is the first phase of some work on regional growth alternatives done at the Center on behalf of the Quality Growth Alliance, a consortium of 8 public and private partners advocating Smart Growth in the Seattle region. The principal author is Chuck Wolfe, Esq, the first Senior Research Fellow at the Center. Chuck has been assisted by Paul Symington, a second year student in Real Estate. |
