Courses of MSRE
The curriculum consists of three basic components; a six course real estate core; a six course real estate elective requirement; and, six to eight courses from across campus. To ensure appropriate breadth of interdisciplinary exposure, students will be advised to concentrate their electives in one or two areas of specialization. The core real estate courses will be sequenced to cover the six quarters of study in the two year program. This will support incremental learning and ensure that students develop the appropriate breadth and depth of knowledge in real estate specific education. It is anticipated that students will take one real estate core and one real estate elective per quarter. This will allow students the flexibility to take 1-2 electives per quarter, depending on interests and availability. To encourage students to synthesize their interdisciplinary education with their core real estate studies, students will culminate in a capstone course in which they will present a formal report that integrates their educational and professional experiences.
Please see table below for listing of the existing and new courses. Some of the current courses will be modified to complement the new courses, allowing more in-depth coverage of key concepts.
