Degrees and Programs in Real Estate

Overview

The University of Washington's Real Estate Program, through the Department of Urban Design and Planning in the College of Architecture and Planning, offers several formal designations in real estate studies. These new designations build on the long tradition at the UW in which real estate education was an informal area of study. Indeed, several hundred students have completed the three-course sequence of courses that existed prior to 2002, with many more students finishing individual real estate courses over the past several decades. Given this rich tradition, and recognition of a growing need for an innovative, interdisciplinary real estate program that can help prepare students for "sustainable" real estate careers and sensitize other professionals to the complexities of the industry led to 2002 the approval to launch our formal real estate designations for graduate students.

The following materials provide an overview of the formal real estate offerings in graduate studies.
