REUW: The Interdisciplinary School of Thought

Welcome

Welcome to the Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies. We are based in the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Washington. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our students to our upcoming Winter Quarter. We would also like to welcome our visitors to our website which is designed as a resource for students and the broader real estate community. The following table summarizes the courses being offered Spring 2008.

Please take advantage of the many links we have compiled on our site. We call your special attention to our wide array of Real Estate Links which reflect our vision of the nature and scope of the discipline. We invite each of our visitors to suggest how we can better achieve our mission of advancing knowledge and promoting the interdisciplinary field of real estate.

2008 Faculty Searches

In Fall 2009, the Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies will launch of our new 2-year Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) Program. We will be posting information later this month on how to apply for admission to the MSRE. In general, admissions will follow the standard Application for Graduate Study at the UW guidelines and timetable. To prepare for our new program, and to strengthen our current Specialization in Real Estate, we are currently seeking to hire two faculty members to complement our current staffing. If you are interested, see the following postings.

2008 NAIOP Award Winning Team

We are extremely proud to announce that the UW team sponsored by the Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies swept the awards in the 2008 NAIOP competition, beating out strong teams from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Portland State University, and Washington State University. The teams worked on a complex, two-block parcel owned by Vulcan Real Estate in South Lake Union.
